The percentage of girls who often or always spend time with their parents during weekends shall be calculated as the total number of children who answer "often" or "almost always" to the question "I often spend time with my parents on weekends" (numerator) divided by the total number of children who answer the question (denominator). The result shall then be multiplied by 100 and expressed as a percentage. Information gathered from a report by ICSRA that conducted a public health survey of children aged 13 to 16. In the report the proportion of boys and girls in grades 9 and 10 can be found who say they spend time often or almost always with their parents during weekends. Girls are reported here. The measurements for the girls and boys have been similiar since 2009 and therefore the dashboard only monitors the measurement for girls.

Hlutfall stúlkna sem eru oft eða alltaf með foreldrum sínum um helgar skal reiknað sem heildarfjöldi barna sem svara "oft" og "nær alltaf" spurningunni "ég er oft með foreldri/foreldrum um helgar" (teljari) deilt með heildarfjölda barna sem svara spurningunni (nefnari). Niðurstaðan skal margfölduð með 100 og sett fram sem prósenta. Í lýðheilsukönnun R&G má finna hlutfall stráka og stelpna í 9. og 10. bekk sem segjast oft eða nær alltaf vera með foreldrum sínum um helgar. Mælingar kynjanna hafa fylgst að miklu leyti að frá 2009 og því er aðeins fylgst með prósentuhlutfalli stúlkna í mælaborðinu.
