7.5 Geymslugeta orkukerfis sveitarfélagsins í hlutfalli við heildarorkunotkun
Storage capacity of the city’s energy grids per total city energy consumption shall be calculated as the total amount of energy that can be stored annually on the city’s electrical grid and thermal grids (district heating and cooling schemes) in gigajoules (GJ) (numerator) divided by the city’s total energy consumption (denominator). The result shall be expressed as the storage capacity of the city’s energy grid per total city energy consumption. Energy storage shall refer to the process of converting energy into a stored form that can later be converted back into energy when needed. Thus, storage capacity shall refer to the amount of energy capable of being stored. Where possible, specify and report the types of energy consumption used in the calculation. Also, if the energy storage facility is not within the city boundaries, the city should report the distance of the energy storage facility.
Geymslugeta orkukerfis sveitarfélagsins í hlutfalli við heildarorkunotkun skal reikna sem heildarmagn orku sem hægt er að geyma árlega á raforkunetinu og hitaveitukerfinu í gigajoules (GJ) (teljari) deilt með heildarorkunotkun sveitarfélagsins (nefnari). Niðurstaðan skal gefin upp sem geymslugeta orkukerfis sveitarfélagsins í hlutfalli við heildarorkunotkun. Orkugeymsla vísar til þess að breyta orku í form sem mögulegt er að geyma og sem síðar er hægt að breyta aftur í orku þegar þörf krefur. Þannig skal geymslugeta orkukerfis vísa til þess magns sem hægt er að geyma.
