The percentage of children who find it easy to make friends at school shall be calculated as the total number of children who answer "strongly agree" or "agree" to the statement "In my school it is easy for me to make friends" (numerator) divided by the total number of children who answer the statement (denominator). The result shall then be multiplied by 100 and expressed as a percentage. Information gathered from a school student survey conducted by Skólavogin. Children in 6th to 10th grade were asked if they agreed with the statement that it was easy for them to make friends. The children could answer "strongly agree", "agree", "disagree" and "strongly disagree".

Hlutfall barna sem á auðvelt með að eignast vini í skólanum skal reiknað sem heildarfjöldi barna sem svara „mjög sammála” og „sammála” fullyrðingunni „Í skólanum mínum á ég auðvelt með að eignast vini” (teljari) deilt með heildarfjölda barna sem svara fullyrðingunni (nefnari). Niðurstaðan skal margfölduð með 100 og sett fram sem prósenta. Í nemendakönnun Skólavogarinnar má finna svar við því hversu auðvelt börn í 6. til 10. bekk eiga með að eignast vini. Svarmöguleikar eru „mjög sammála”, „sammála”, „ósammála” og „mjög ósammála”.
